Privacy policy
Your prayers hold other people’s stories, so they deserve care. This page explains, in plain words, what PrayerList Pro keeps, where it lives, and the few things that leave your device. Effective October 13, 2026.
The short version
- Where your prayers live
- On your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. They sync through Apple’s iCloud, not through servers we run.
- Who can see them
- We can’t access the prayers and journal in your private iCloud. If you share a prayer group, the people who join it see that group’s prayers.
- App Store privacy label
- The App Store privacy label for PrayerList Pro reads “Data Not Collected.”
- Ads and analytics
- The app has no ads and no tracking in its own code. It uses no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- Account
- None to create. The app works without iCloud. Syncing and shared groups use the iCloud account already on your device.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it to profile you. This includes your prayers, any message you send us and any request you send to a Prayer Wall.
A few things do leave your device. They’re listed below.
Who we are
PrayerList Pro is made by Brandon Bernicky and published by Nextsulting LLC. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Nextsulting LLC.
This policy covers the PrayerList Pro app on each Apple device it runs on, this website, and the Prayer Wall form at app.prayerlistpro.com. Features vary by device, so some parts may not apply to yours.
What the app stores, and where
The app keeps what you add to it, including:
- Prayers: the name, the request, a photo if you add one, your notes (typed, handwritten or voice), Bible verses, reminders, when you prayed, and your note about how a prayer was answered.
- Prayer Groups: the groups you use to organize your list.
- Your journal: entries, photos and drawings.
- Activity and settings: what Prayer Life shows, your progress in Resources, and the choices you make in Settings.
All of this is stored on your device. If iCloud is on, the app also keeps a copy in your own private iCloud, so it syncs across your Apple devices. A few settings stay only on the device where you chose them. We can’t access your private iCloud.
Your iCloud data is protected by Apple’s standard iCloud encryption. To learn more, read Apple’s iCloud data security overview.
PrayerList Pro also works without iCloud. Your information then stays on that device, and syncing and shared groups aren’t available.
On iPhone, you can start a journal entry from a Journaling Suggestion, like a photo or a walk. Apple’s picker shows the suggestions, and the app receives only the one you choose. Whatever that suggestion includes, such as photos, places or people’s names, is saved in that entry, like anything you write.
Reminders are scheduled on your device.
People you add from Contacts
When you add someone from Contacts, the app copies their name into the prayer, and their photo if one is available. It also copies the first phone number and the first email address on their contact card, if it has them, so the Call, Text and Email buttons work on that prayer. It keeps a reference to the contact card too, so it can show their current photo.
These details are kept with the prayer: on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your private iCloud. Only the people you choose are copied. The app doesn’t copy or upload your address book.
If that prayer is in a shared group, a smaller copy of the photo goes to the people in the group. The phone number, email address and contact card reference are never shared.
Prayer Wall on Apple TV
A church, group or family can show a Prayer Wall on Apple TV. People in the room scan a QR code and send a prayer request from their phone.
- A request sent from the web form at app.prayerlistpro.com passes through our server on its way to iCloud. A request sent from the PrayerList Pro app goes straight to iCloud through your own iCloud account, and iCloud stores an identifier for that account with it.
- Requests are stored in a public iCloud database that belongs to the app, so the Apple TV can show them. Unlike your private iCloud, we can access requests stored there.
- A name is optional.
- Everyone in the room can see the wall.
- Requests are deleted from the wall when the host ends the session. The host can also add requests to their own prayer list, where they stay like any other prayer.
- To prevent abuse, our server may use your IP address, for example to limit how many requests can be sent in a short time.
Share only what you would be glad for everyone in the room to read.
Services the app contacts
To do its work, the app connects to a few services. Apart from Apple services such as iCloud, none of them receives your prayers or journal.
Bible text
When you open a passage, the app asks a Bible service for it by reference, for example John 3:16. The request names the passage and the edition, and nothing about your prayers or journal.
Bible text comes from YouVersion (the NIV, the NVI in Spanish and in Portuguese, and La Bible du Semeur, licensed from Biblica), Crossway (the ESV) and bible-api.com (the World English Bible).
As with any request on the internet, the service can see your device’s IP address, and its own privacy policy applies.
Resources
Articles and devotionals in Resources load from our content site, which runs on WordPress and is hosted by WP Engine. The app sends it no personal information. Like any website, the host can see your IP address.
Some posts include a YouTube or Vimeo video. When you open one of these posts, that service’s player loads with it. The player may set its own cookies, and that service’s privacy policy applies.
The series you follow and your progress sync through your iCloud, not through the content site.
Apple services
- iCloud stores and syncs your information, as described above.
- Apple Health is optional. See how the app uses Apple Health.
- Spotlight and Siri. On iPhone and iPad, the app adds your prayers, Prayer Groups and journal entries to Spotlight on your device, so you can find them and use them with Siri. Nothing in that index is sent to us. When you speak to Siri, Apple’s privacy policy applies.
- Apple Intelligence. Ask, Sermon Recap and Scan a Prayer Card do their work on your device, using Apple Intelligence where it’s available. Handwriting search also reads your ink on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. These features are on iPhone and iPad. Ask and Sermon Recap need a device that supports Apple Intelligence, and availability depends on your device, language and region.
- App Store. If you leave an optional tip, Apple handles the payment. We never see your payment details. The app keeps a note of your tips on your device and in your own iCloud.
Permissions the app asks for
The app asks before it uses any of these. You can say no, and you can change your choice later in your device’s settings. Features vary by device.
- Contacts: to show the photo of someone you add from Contacts.
- Microphone: to record voice notes for your prayers.
- Camera: to scan prayer cards and lists.
- Face ID: to unlock the app when Lock App is on.
- Apple Health: to save and read Mindful Minutes.
- Hand tracking on Apple Vision Pro: to notice when you fold your hands to pray.
Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional. With your permission, timed prayers and journal writing sessions are saved to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes, so time spent in prayer is remembered as rest. Tapping I Prayed saves nothing to Health.
PrayerList Pro reads and writes only Mindful Minutes. It doesn’t read any other Health data, and your Health data is never sent to us.
Saving to Health works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. You can change or turn off access at any time in the Health app.
Lock App
Lock App asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when you return to PrayerList Pro. While Lock App is on, the app’s preview in the app switcher is covered, your prayers and journal are removed from Spotlight, and Siri and Shortcuts can’t read your requests or journal entries.
Lock App doesn’t cover everything. Your widgets, reminder notifications and Apple Watch can still show your prayers, and so can the Live Activity on iPhone while you pray. If that matters to you, you can remove a widget, or hide notification previews in your device’s settings.
What we collect
From the app
The app doesn’t send us personal information on its own. There’s no account, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. Its App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected.”
We receive only what you choose to send us, such as a Prayer Wall request or an email to our support address.
If you have turned on sharing with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us. Apple collects these, not the app.
From this website
- Support form
- If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, topic and message, and the language of the page you wrote from. They’re stored on our web server so we can reply, and we use them only to help you. If you email us instead, we receive your email address and your message.
- Server logs
- Like most websites, our host may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you requested. These logs help keep the site secure and working.
- No cookies or analytics
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so a page doesn’t contact a font service when it loads.
- Language suggestion
- If the site suggests a page in your language and you dismiss the suggestion, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
- App Store links
- Links to the App Store take you to Apple, and Apple’s privacy policy applies there.
Children
PrayerList Pro is rated 4+ on the App Store, and families can use it together. The app has no account, and it doesn’t send us personal information on its own, for children or anyone else.
On a Prayer Wall, anyone in the room can send a request, and a name is optional. Parents and leaders can help children choose what to share.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information through this website or a Prayer Wall, write to us at support@nextsulting.com and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
- Export. Use Export Prayer List to save your prayer requests as a PDF or as text, and Export Journal to save your journal as a text file.
- Delete. You can delete prayers, journal entries and other items in the app. There’s no single button that deletes everything at once.
- Shared groups. If you own a shared group, you can stop sharing it. If you joined one, you can leave it.
- Remove your iCloud data. To remove the app’s data from iCloud, use your device’s iCloud settings, where you can manage the storage each app uses. Deleting the app removes what’s stored on that device, but your iCloud copy stays until you remove it there.
- Apple Health. Change or turn off access at any time in the Health app.
- Spotlight and Siri. On iPhone and iPad, turn off Show in Spotlight & Siri Suggestions in the app’s Settings.
- Messages you sent us. Ask us to delete your support messages, and we will.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal information we hold about you, such as the right to see, correct or delete it. Your prayers and journal are kept on your own devices and in your own iCloud, so you control them directly. For anything you’ve sent us, write to us at support@nextsulting.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
This version is effective October 13, 2026.
